Recycled glass
The Bloomingville collection of recycled glass is collected from old glass that is not usefull anymore and brought to collection centers where they are segregated by colour. Glass is washed before it is molten. These are then created into beautiful hand-made articles which has been shaped by talented artists using century old techniques. Glass is ideal for recycling since none of the material is degraded by normal use.
Recycled cotton
Never refuse to reuse. This is the philosophy of products made from recycled cotton. The products consist of cotton from leftover textile productions. Instead of wasting the leftover textiles, the fibers will be reproduced from granulated cotton into a useful new fiber. Each of our recycled cotton products consist of different percentages of fibers, but the main material in the product will always be cotton. All fibers have been carefully purified.
Recycled & reclaimed wood
We are constantly working with a responsible mindset to be more eco-conscious in our product portfolio. Items made of reclaimed or recycled wood are created from leftover materials, such as building materials or old village equipment that provides a great value to new creations. Instead of making the material waste, Bloomingville adds new life to a product by recycling the material.

Paper mache
The craft of paper mache is centuries old, dating back to the Mughal Emperors of the 15th Century. Paper mache bowls, trays, vases etc. were traditionally used as food storage vessels in homes throughout India.
Our paper mache items are made from cellulose fibers extracted from various sources and converted into pulp. The remaining material consists of wood fibers, recycled newspaper, vegetable matter, and recycled textile fiber etc. The pulp is soaked in water for three or four days. It is then put in a stone mortar and ground so that all the pulp is identical in its consistency. Afterwards the materials are mixed and held together with the help of binders, and made into vases and bowls etc. When the pulp is ready, wooden, or brass moulds are used to make the required shape. The pulp is then layered, by crossing the layers over each other, until the required thickness has been obtained and the object is in the right shape.
Paper mache makes a perfect storage for rice, legumes, and flour.
